Job Summary:
Install custom-designed heating and cooling products in customers’ homes and businesses with high quality skilled work and attention to detail.
TASKS
- Complete all required paperwork in a timely and accurate manner
- Work with and train any installation helpers which may be assigned to work to you
- Complete and sign-off on all Job Checklists
- Maintain the equipment and inventory in your truck
- Attend required meetings
- Attend company or vendor training as required
- Maintain NATE Certification
- Exhibit professional conduct at all times, whether at the job site or driving company vehicles

Install Helper
Install Helper
Job Summary:
Install Helpers assist the installers working on but not limited to forced air equipment, sheet metal duct systems, cutting and threading pipe, gas piping, etc for residential and light commercial customers.
- Work safely following company policies.
- Install HVAC related equipment according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Install sheet metal duct systems in residential and light commercial buildings.
- Connect gas lines to heating equipment. Cut and thread pipe.
- Requires wiring both line voltage and low voltage to heating equipment.
- Load all equipment for daily jobs
- Requires installing copper refrigerant line to air conditioning units, including soldering and brazing.
Functional Expertise:
- Provides assistance to lead installer on the job
- Demonstrate and establish effective working relationships with co-workers and superiors
Qualifications
Education, Certifications/Licenses
Required:
- High School of GED
Preferred:
- HVAC Certification or Diploma
Related Work Experience
Required:
- EPA Certification – either Type I & Type II or Universal
Preferred:
- 1+ years HVAC work experience as an Install Helper
Specific Skills & Knowledge
Required:
- Good communication and customer service skills required, a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
Job may include, but not limited to:
- Climbing, Extreme Hot or Cold (out of doors),
- Heavy Lifting, Loud Noise,
- Must be able to work off ladders at different elevations.
- Crawling, working in confined spaces.
- Pushing/Pulling, Carrying Equipment, Bending, Turning, Kneeling.
- Team lift furnaces up to 200 pounds, individually lifting up to 100 pounds
